Psst, they're onto us...

As I sit here nursing my still tender (in fact, 16 km of newly tenderized) biceps femoris, it was not very comforting to discover in today's SMH that there are certain eggheads who think it is unhealthy to exercise for more than six hours a week! Say what?! That's just ridiculous. Haven't they heard that too much running is never enough?

Still, I know can always go and read that old post of Jay's and make everything all better.

Ahh...

I'd have to come down in agreement with the Article on Jay's blog. In my 4 years of running the only injury that didn't respond favorably to more running, albeit on a different scale, was my case of iliotibial band syndrome.

As for the SMH article saying too much exercise is the cause of anorexia is like saying too much wanking can make you blind!

By the way I just noticed your "VARIEGATUS" blog header. Does it seem out of focus to you?

Hi Scott, no more out of focus than normal.

I am tempted to say something smart and pithy about your too much wanking comment, but I think it could be considered in poor taste, so I'll just leave it alone (boom boom).

I'm glad to hear your blog header was meant to be out of focus, for a minute there I thought I was going blind!

And yes I'm glad you didn't strectch this thing out by making a comment ;) Somethings are better being left alone.

Now, isn't running like wanking? You've got to test it out to make sure it's still working - especially, as, according to Scott, your wife is "long suffering".

If the SMH story is true, I'll have to have five days rest then run Six Foot in under 6 hours!

The quality of knowledge in exercise science is quite weak especially on fringe topics like this one or "is coffee/ beer/ wine etc... good for you?", "how much water should you drink?" etc,,, Sounds like the source is seeking attention with "catchy" conclusions!! Go on ... run it off!
Interesting point above :)
