Decisions decisions
Oh dear. One day to go. Don't go chasing numbers, I said to someone the other day. The log is on 478 km. Tomorrow is the last day of October. I feel pretty good. Recovered even. Tomorrow is Wednesday. Just 22 km. What will I do? Ewen will shoot me. Or maybe just laugh at me. Oh dear...

Regular Blogus Variegatus readers poll:
Steve will:
A. Log the 22K at a mid-range aerobic pace.
B. After a warm-up, run 25K+(just to prove 500K is meaningless), with a lot of it at 10K race pace.
C. Acknowledge his cold, current fitness, desire not to peak too soon, and run a gentle 12K.
D. Bag the workout, go to Ushi Tora and drink up the last of the Sakura Steam Lager.
B gets my vote.
Thanks Pete for making that list. But the simple fact that you can come up with choices A to D shows that anything is possible with this bloke ;)
Well if I have to make a choice I'd go with "A." Life experience has shown me that people often tell others to do things that they themselves find difficult to do. Or they say to others the opposite of what is the truth for them.
So you'd have to suspect that anyone that says something like "don't go chasing numbers" is unnaturally obsessed with just that.
By the way, that same logic doesn't apply to me. If I say I have a big dick, then I have a big dick! ;)
go for it!
B!
Well, Ushi Tora have run out of Sakura Steam (for now, but they might have more kegs that they'll put on at a later date), so that rules out D.
The cold is better. The desire not to peak too soon does not speak against running a few extra km today, so far as I can see...the damn race is only a couple of weeks away. So that's C out. Dang, that leaves A and B ;-)
I'm laughing already. I was going to say 'D'. How about stay at home and down a home brew or two?
Actually, I'd be most impressed if you called it a day at 21.1km ;) Upper aerobic of course. 89:59?
